Advocacy is an important mechanism which effectively contributes the promotion of every project progress activity; the respect of this, SAWO prioritised a tangible input on advocacy for the rights of poor animals, particularly in urban areas Mogadishu and lower Shabele region, in order to achieve this genuine part of project activity, our management team members proved to have accomplished a very good work towards maintaining strong advocacy on protecting of animal rights while using several aspects of approach like.
A)-posting slogans at public places
B)-publication of articles in daily news letters C)-special programmes to the media broadcasting Networks |
D)-voluntary medical treatment of sick and maltreated Domestic animals like donkeys, dogs, cats, and goats. |

In fact our advocacy campaign was not limited internally, but also focused to get necessary recognition for assistance and moral support from overseas. This led the success of our full membership registrations by {WSPA} world society for protection of animals on –Nov. 17, 2005.

SAWO had numbers of advocacy achievement, one of them in 2006, SAWO stopped a large scale of community plan to poison dogs near Mogadishu and advised local businesses how to better protect their work areas and treat animals in a more humane way
